Nintendo Sued as New Generation of Pokémon Look Uncannily Like Members of Metallica
Nintendo has denied deliberately modelling its latest generation of Pokémon on heavy metal band Metallica, despite several designs appearing “remarkably Hetfield.”
The company said any resemblance was entirely coincidental, attributing it to “creative convergence.”
One creature, described in official material as “an ancient electric-type with a commanding stage presence,” has since been withdrawn.
